Nice photos. The Pho 2000 sign is not that random actually. President Clinton ate there in 2000 and the place has all kinds of press clippings on the walls to show this. They even have souvenirs for tourists to buy as well I think. Looks like they're aggressively marketing themselves to English speaking clientele! Very nice.
Yes, I've heard the story behind the name, but it's still random to me! Just about everyone speaks English in HCMC. You can live there and never have to learn Vietnamese. I live in the next province and have enthusiastically been forced to learn the language.
